Beyond the Encounter: Identifying the Faces Behind the Pahalgam Attack in Op Mahadev

Justice for Pahalgam: Three Pakistani Terrorists Killed in ‘Operation Mahadev’ Near Srinagar.

Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir: In a stunning revelation today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed in Parliament how “Operation Mahadev” on the outskirts of Srinagar not only eliminated three Pakistani terrorists but definitively identified them as the perpetrators of the horrific Pahalgam massacre. This breakthrough came through meticulous cross-referencing and forensic confirmation, bringing clarity to the cold-blooded murder of 26 innocent civilians.

The three slain terrorists were identified as Suleiman, Afghan, and Jibran. Their involvement in the Pahalgam atrocity was confirmed through several crucial stages of investigation. Home Minister Shah informed the Lok Sabha that individuals previously detained for providing logistical support to the terrorists played a key role in identifying the bodies brought to Srinagar.

Crucially, the foreign-made weapons recovered from the terrorists provided irrefutable evidence. Among them were two AK-47 variants and an American M4 carbine. These firearms were swiftly flown to Chandigarh on a special flight for late-night testing. Forensic analysis of the guns and empty cartridges definitively matched them to those used in the Pahalgam attack.

Sources revealed the recovered weapons included a Romanian Model 90 (AKMS) 7.62 mm, a Hybrid Russian AKM 7.62 Assault Rifle, and an American M4 Commando (Colt Model 933, 5.56 mm, 1995 variant). The presence of these sophisticated, internationally sourced weapons strongly suggests an organized group with strategic cross-border support and a well-oiled logistics chain actively supplying terror outfits.

The Anatomy of Operation Mahadev:

“Operation Mahadev,” a meticulously planned joint effort by the Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police, had been in the works for several days. The intelligence radar had been tracking this particular group of three terrorists. Their attempt to communicate via a highly encrypted platform ultimately exposed their precise location within the Dachigam forests yesterday. This critical intel immediately triggered an identification process, leading directly to the decisive encounter.

Security forces suspect these terrorists were on the verge of executing a major attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Extensive search operations are currently ongoing in the Dachigam area to ensure no residual threat remains. The successful conclusion and the irrefutable identification of the Pahalgam attackers mark a significant victory in the ongoing fight against terrorism in the region.
